Polyclonal Antibody Preparation
Polyclonal antibodies are a mixture of antibodies that recognize different epitopes of a specific antigen and can be produced by collecting antiserums after artificially immunizing the host. Because it can recognize multiple epitopes, it has a higher affinity and sensitivity than monoclonal antibodies. Polyclonal antibodies are also more tolerant to small antigen changes.
