After working with hundreds of patients with Leucoderma and Vitiligo separately, I often find my patients using the terms interchangeably. While the symptoms are pretty identical, and so are the treatment options at Kayakalp Global, both these conditions have certain differences that patients need better awareness about. We often hear people using the terms Leukoderma and Vitiligo interchangeably. And while the two conditions might look and feel similar, leukoderma and vitiligo are slightly different in how their symptoms initiate on the skin. Leukoderma’s main point of difference is the list of causes, while the symptoms, mode of diagnosis and line of treatment are pretty much the same as vitiligo. This article will explore everything there is to know about Leukoderma, its causes, symptoms, and differences with vitiligo. Whether you go for mesotherapy for hair loss at AAYNA or for any other issue, there are some things that you must keep in mind post-mesotherapy. The patient should not use any blood-thinning medicine and has to undergo a mesotherapy procedure. Also, no water should be touched to the application area for about 1o to 15 horses after the treatment; in the first two days after the procedure, the person should not force himself physically and makeup and be ignored for about 10 to 15 hours post mesotherapy. The treated area should not be touched to prevent infection, and hands should be washed before touching it. The expert at the AAYNA clinic will give all the recommendations that should be followed without missing them. https://www.aaynaclinic.com/mesotherapy-procedure-side-effects-and-more/ [more]

If you are unfamiliar with the concept of vitiligo disease, not knowing that there are multiple vitiligo types of this condition is common. This autoimmune skin disorder is more than “white patches on the skin.” In general, vitiligo is divided into two primary types: Non-segmental vitiligo – This is the more common type of vitiligo. In this type, uneven, light-coloured or white patches appear on both sides of the body. The prominence of the white patches typically starts in the areas where the friction is maximum against the skin. In most cases, the discolouration starts around the hands and spreads to the mouth or the eye region. Segmental vitiligo – This is a lesser occurring type of vitiligo that affects 1 in 10 vitiligo patients. People with segmental vitiligo often start noticing the discolouration at an early age, which continues for a maximum of a year, after which the discolouration stops. As the name suggests, it occurs on one side of the body, presumable on one side of the arms and legs. Patients with this type of vitiligo also witness hair colour changes. Before we discuss the early signs and symptoms, let us understand the Vitiligo symptoms causes first. In hindsight, we know that permanent damage to the melanin-producing cells leads to the onset of vitiligo. But is that all? Surprisingly no. Multiple factors actively contribute to the onset and progress of the disease. Autoimmune disorder – This happens when the body’s immune system mistakes the healthy melanin-producing cells (melanocytes) as foreign bodies, attacking and damaging them in the process. In the long run, the immune system produces antibodies against these melanocytes, killing them in the process and forming white or light-colored patches on the body. Genetic issues – Studies indicate that our bodies have 30+ genes, which increase our risk of vitiligo. So, any kind of prevalent genetic mutation in one of these 30 genes can result in vitiligo in the patient. Stress – Stress that is induced after a severe injury is another potential factor that enhances the risks of vitiligo in patients. External triggers – Chronic exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sunlight or toxic chemicals leads to enhanced risks of melanocyte depletion and damage in the body. Existing autoimmune disorder – If you are already diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, that further enhances the risks of you developing vitiligo. In hindsight, many patients coming for a consultation at Kayakalp Global often have this misconception that 100% of vitiligo cases are due to genetic predisposition, which isn’t the case. Instead, roughly 30% of vitiligo cases are genetic. Visit Here: https://www.kayakalpglobal.com/health/what-is-vitiligo-what-are-the-early-warning-signs-its-symptoms-and-causes/ [more]
