Ravish Kumar is from Motihari , Bihar. He enrolled in post graduate diloma in Hindi Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass.He is married to Nayana Dasgupta who teaches History. He has two daughters.Ravish Kumar is one of the unbiased and well-known journalists of India. He is the first Hindu Journalist to win the 2019 Ramon Magsaysay Award for his outstanding work in journalism. He is two times awardee of the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award.
