What is the Companies Act 2013?

For replacing the 658 sections in the Companies Act 1956 and its many chapters, the government brought the Companies Act 2013 into the parliament. The primary purpose of the new act is to regulate incorporated companies, their responsibilities, and dissolution. It has 29 chapters with only 470 sections and is partially implemented from August 30, 2013, until April 1, 2014. After that, a notification got published to exempt private companies from several companies' act sections. But the Companies Amendment Ordinance on January 12, 2019, amended many sections of the Companies Act 2013 for registration of companies, converting private companies to public companies, etc.
