Blue Green Algae
WHAT IS BLUE-GREEN ALGAE? Algae are a diverse group of microscopic aquatic organisms that have the ability to conduct photosynthesis. They are also some of the most primitive life forms on Earth and have been used as both food and medicine for centuries in many cultures. Among these, blue-green algae (or cyanobacteria) are a distinct type of bacteria that produce blue-green pigments and grow primarily in saltwater, as well as in some freshwater lakes and ponds.
