Caprylic Acid

WHAT IS CAPRYLIC ACID?
Caprylic acid (also known as octanoic acid), is a saturated fatty acid that is naturally found in the milk of various mammals and is also one of the main fatty acids in coconut oil. As a medium-chain triglyceride (MCT), caprylic acid has well-documented anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-fungal properties and is widely used to prevent urinary tract and bladder infections, sexually transmitted diseases, oral infections such as gingivitis, and most notably, candidiasis, a fungal infection caused by a yeast (a type of fungus) called Candida.
