Uganda is in the thick of national developments and international engagements. The country’s Parliament’s appointments committee is currently vetting nominees for the electoral commission, with Justice Simon Byabakama expected to continue in his role as chairperson. However, during the process, two nominees were dropped, bringing a wave of regret and confusion amongst the committee members.
