There’s a lot of talk around AI and machine learning (ML) today, and since then, I’ve been asked one question more times than I can count: Should we build our own AI solution or go with a third-party solution? With the talent and resources in-house, it seems logical to have a tool that’s completely ours, tailored to fit our exact needs. But time and again, I strongly believe business needs are the concern for the choices. The major ones are time to market, cost, support and maintenance.
